Let's Talk Lupus: Conversations with Macenzie

Real Stories. Real Impact.

Let’s Talk Lupus: Conversations with Macenzie is a monthly interview series that features real stories from Canadians living with lupus. Hosted by Toronto-based journalist and writer Macenzie, who was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) in 2017, this series sheds light on the unique challenges, resilience, and victories of lupus warriors from across the country.

Through honest conversations, Macenzie brings awareness to the physical, emotional, and social aspects of living with lupus — helping others feel seen, understood, and empowered.

“Demystifying the misconceptions around lupus and non-visible illnesses is incredibly important, especially to those of us in the community who have experienced feelings of loneliness and hopelessness. Sharing our stories is a reminder that ‘You are not alone.’ Our community may be small, but it is resilient despite the challenges we face on a daily basis.”
