Share Your Story
Everyone’s lupus journey is different, and every story has the power to make someone feel less alone.
Living with lupus can be challenging, but sharing your experiences can inspire hope, raise awareness, and help others feel seen and understood.
Whether you’ve been newly diagnosed, have lived with lupus for decades, support someone you love, or have a unique perspective to share, we’d love to hear from you.
Through Let’s Talk Lupus: Conversations with Macenzie, we feature real stories from Canadians affected by lupus because every voice helps build a stronger, more connected community.
Meet Macenzie
Each month, Toronto-based journalist and writer Macenzie interviews Canadians living with lupus to share authentic stories of resilience, challenge, and hope.
Diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) in 2017, Macenzie understands firsthand the uncertainty, resilience, and strength that come with living with lupus.
Through thoughtful conversations, she helps amplify voices from across Canada while increasing awareness and understanding of lupus.
“Demystifying the misconceptions around lupus and non-visible illnesses is incredibly important, especially to those of us in the community who have experienced feelings of loneliness and hopelessness. Sharing our stories is a reminder that ‘You are not alone.’ Our community may be small, but it is resilient despite the challenges we face every day.”
— Macenzie
