Lupus Awareness Month 2025

Lupus Awareness Month 2025 Campaign – Providing Hope, Raising Awareness, Inspiring Change

Get Involved Today

Lupus impacts thousands of Canadians, making it one of the most challenging diseases to diagnose and treat. With no singular or definitive test for lupus, many patients experience delays in both diagnosis and access to effective treatment. This uncertainty is often compounded by the disease’s complex symptoms, which can vary widely and are difficult to identify.

Lupus can impact anyORGAN, in anyPERSON, at anyTIME whereby the immune system attacks healthy cells and tissues in the body leading to a wide spectrum of symptoms. Like putting the pieces of a puzzle together, diagnosing lupus can be challenging due to its diverse symptoms. Symptoms – appearing primarily between 15 and 44 years of age – can be complex and difficult to diagnose, resulting in the nickname: the disease of 1000 faces. Although the exact cause remains unknown, ongoing research is critical in the fight to improve diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately find a cure.

Learn more about lupus and join Lupus Canada this Lupus Awareness Month in advocating for greater awareness, supporting lupus research, and spreading hope for those affected by this autoimmune disease.
