Lupus Canada at LUPUS 2025 – International Congress on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

The 16th International Congress on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (LUPUS 2025), is to be held from 21-24 May 2025 in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada (at the Westin Harbour Castle) chaired by Dr Zahi Touma.
The aim of Lupus 2025 is the discovery and innovation in the field of Lupus research. Our primary mission is to delve into the latest advancements, causes, and outcomes of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

This event is a fantastic opportunity for researchers, healthcare professionals, and advocates to come together to share the latest advancements in lupus research and treatment.

In addition to connecting with international leaders in the lupus research field, and as part of our commitment to amplifying patient voices, we will be hosting short 15-minute interviews with lupus patients on May 22 & 23, on-site at the Westin. These patient interviews will help to highlight lived-experiences and perspectives on living with lupus. If you will be attending and would like to participate in an interview, please contact Heather Coates, National Fund Development & Engagement Officer.

This congress will also include patient sessions as follows (all sessions are in-person only):

  • Mental Health and lupus
  • Life Journey and lupus: fertility preservation, family planning and pregnancy navigation and menopause and HRT
  • Male and lupus
  • Access to lupus care (access to a lupus healthcare, challenges such as delayed diagnosis, access to the latest approved drugs and treatments)
  • Racial disparities and lupus
  • Social determinants and lupus
  • Non-pharmacological interventions to improve health in SLE
  • Nutrition and lupus
  • Occupational Therapy and lupus

The admission is $100 for all four days, which includes the sessions, meals and entertainment.

Please note there is a hall capacity limit, so register early.
