Walk A Block for Lupus – October 21, 2007
All of the Lupus Event Coordinators, Team Leaders, Walk Coordinators and Walkers across Canada are gearing up for the 6th Annual “Walk a Block for Lupus”, Lupus Canada’s largest fundraising event.
Last year we raised over $140,000 and this year our goal is $300,000. With even more teams and locations, we are very excited about the event.
Want to join the event?
- Become an Event Coordinator and organize a Walk in your city or town – we have lots of resources and ideas to help you each step of the way
- Become a Team Leader and recruit volunteers to be part of your team of Walkers to join a Walk in your city or town. Create your team page on the Walk a Block website.
- Become a Walker and join a Team in your area – the more people that participate, the more fun (and the more awareness we create for lupus)
- Sponsor a Walker – help a Walker reach their fundraising goal and support the work of lupus organizations across Canada. You can even make your pledge on line.
- Volunteer with a local Walk – every Event Coordinator would love to have your help – consider helping with registration, be a Walk Marshall, distribute lupus information, help with a children’s area – there are so many ways you can get involved.
- Be a Sponsor – donate prizes to a silent auction or help financially to cover some of the Walk costs.
