7th Annual Lupus Patient
Symposium

“Living Well with Lupus -
Pathways to Good Health”
May 31, 2008
Montreal, Quebec

This Symposium was a unique opportunity to bring together people with lupus, their families and supporters, lupus physicians and researchers, and lupus volunteers from across Canada to share the latest developments and information in lupus research and treatments.

The 2008 Symposium was a hugely successful event with over 100 delegates attending. Top-notch speakers from across North America engaged delegates on key topics about living well with lupus. Our host organization, Lupus Quebec, coordinated a Silent Auction with many unique gifts for delegates to win.

Some of those attending said:
This was my first Symposium, and it far surpassed my expectations”
“It was very informative in helping me learn new ways and tools of coping with lupus”
“I supported my aunt and came away with a lot of knowledge about the disease”
“I received valuable info normally not available to me”

Reports from the Symposium evaluations indicated:

  • 84% of delegates indicated the speakers and sessions were extremely top-notch, informative and relevant to their life
  • 79% of delegates noted their understanding of lupus increased by more than 50% from attending the Symposium
  • 79% were very glad to have attended the Symposium
