About Lupus Canada

Welcome to our new website!

This site is designed to be a source of information about lupus as well as about Lupus Canada, its Member Organizations and Divisions. We hope it is of interest to people living with lupus, their family and friends, health care professionals and the general public.

There are many areas to visit on this site – ‘About Us’ focuses on who we are, what we do and how we do it as well as providing links to contact us.  “Living with Lupus’ is about just that and provides a variety of sources of information designed to educate patients, family and friends and caregivers on a variety of topics.  Our Fact Sheets can also be found here.  Additionally there is information on resources available through Lupus Canada, events to support Lupus Canada, ways to get involved and give back as well as some wonderful and useful items available through our online store that can help spread awareness of lupus.

We hope you’ll look around and visit often as we will be updating the site regularly with resources, news and information about what others are doing to support people living with lupus through awareness and fundraising.

Significance of the Lupus butterfly
Butterfly

One of the common symptoms
of lupus is the unique butterfly-like
skin rash.

But a butterfly also signifies
BEAUTY, LIFE and HOPE -
a message that Lupus Canada
wants to share with everyone
who visits our website.
